The information recorded below, regarding the use of cookies on this website, is provided for the user/browser in implementation of the decision of the Authority for the Protection of Personal Data of 8 May 2014 “Identification of simplified means for providing information and obtaining consent for the use of cookies” and in compliance with Article 13 of the GDPR (UE Legislative Decree no. 679/2016).

The information has been prepared and is updated by Dalfiume Nobilvini Srl., website manager and Data Controller of the personal data associated with the website, based in Via Madonnina, 3041 Castel San Pietro Terme, Bologna and mail privacy@dalfiumenobilvini.it

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text strings – formed by numbers and letters – that a website can send, while you are browsing, to the user’s device (be it a PC, notebook, smartphone, tablet; they are typically stored directly on the browser used for navigation). The same website that transmitted them, therefore, can read and record the cookies it finds on the device to obtain various kinds of information. Cookies can be stored only for the time of use of a specific site (session cookie) or for a longer period of time, not depending on the session, (persistent cookie). Cookies operate in combination with the content of the website and normally have the function of improving the usability and experience of web browsing.

Cookies may also be used to keep track of the user’s navigation on the website and, consequently, allow advertising messages to be sent in line with the user’s preferences.

In order to pursue the purposes mentioned above, or to pursue other purposes, cookies collect and record browsing information, although it is the owner’s policy to leave the user the choice as to whether or not to use such cookies. Consequently, if the user blocks or prevents the use of cookies, some features of the Site may be prevented or slowed down or otherwise inefficient.

Through cookies, the owner cannot access other information stored on your device, even though it is there that cookies are downloaded. Cookies cannot load code of any kind, carry viruses or malware and are not harmful to the user’s terminal.

In addition to allowing easy use of the Site, the owner uses cookies on the Site for various purposes, including: (i) to avoid fraudulent use; (ii) to improve the Site; (iii) to keep track of the user’s online behaviour, etc..

How many types of cookies are there?

There are several types of cookies, with different features. Cookies can be classified, above all, as:

  • Session cookies, which are deleted immediately after closing the search browser (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.)
  • Persistent cookies, which – unlike session cookies – remain inside the device, continuing to operate even after closing the browser and until the expiry of a specified period of time
  • First-party cookies, i.e. cookies generated and managed directly by the manager of the website which the user is browsing
  • Third-party cookies, which are generated and managed by parties other than the manager of the website which the user is browsing (under, as a rule, a contract between the owner of the website and the third party).

Macro-categories are:

  • Technical cookies

Technical cookies are generally required for the proper operation of the website and to allow browsing; without them, the browser may not be able to properly display pages or use certain services. According to the reference legislation, the user’s consent to their installation is not necessary as they are aimed at “allowing the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user”.

  • Analytical cookies

Similar to technical cookies, Cookies analytics are used to collect statistical information, aggregated or not, on the number of users accessing the Site and how they visit the Site.. The user’s consent is required in the case of third-party analytics cookies (e.g. Matomo) that allow the identification of the user’s IP address.

  • Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to promote offers in line with the preferences shown by users within the field of browsing the net. Since these tools are not necessary for the proper functioning of the site, but are only used to enable browsers to be made aware of offers that better suit their needs, require his consent, freely revocable at any time without prejudice to the treatment prior to revocation (Art. 6, para. 1, letter a) of the GDPR.
